Abstract / Introduction


The Charity Management System (CMS) is a web-based application designed to streamline and digitize the process of charity distribution. In many societies, especially in developing regions, charity is often unmanaged, non-transparent, and inefficient. Donors are unable to find genuine needy individuals, while deserving people struggle to access available resources.This system aims to bridge the gap between donors and needy individuals by providing a centralized, transparent, and user-friendly platform where:


• Donors can contribute money or goods (including old items) 
• Needy individuals can request specific help directly 
• Admin ensures authenticity and proper management


Functional Requirements:
 

Admin Module:
1. Admin can log in securely to the system. 
2. Admin can register and manage donors (approve, block, update details). 
3. Admin can register and verify needy individuals after checking their authenticity (CNIC, documents, etc.). 
4. Admin can define and manage charity types (Financial aid, Food items, Clothes, Old household items ).
5. Admin can view all donation requests and approve or reject them. 
6. Admin can monitor all transactions and activities in the system. 
7. Admin can assign donations to the most suitable needy individuals if needed. 
8. Admin can resolve disputes or complaints between donors and recipients. 
9. Admin can generate reports (Total donations, Active donors, Completed charity requests)
10.Admin can send notifications/alerts to users.
 

Donor Module:
1. Donor can register and create a profile. 
2. Donor can log in/logout securely. 
3. Donor can add donation details, including: Type of charity (money, clothes, food, old items) Description of items, Quantity, Location.
4. Donor can view requests from needy individuals. 
5. Donor can accept or reject requests from needy persons. 
6. Donor can track donation history. 
7. Donor can schedule pickup or delivery of items. 
8. Donor can communicate with needy individuals. 
9. Donor can rate/feedback the experience.
 

Needy Person Module:
1. Needy person can register and create a profile. Must provide complete details (Name, Address, Income status, Family details, Supporting documents)
2. Needy person can browse available donations. 
3. Needy person can request specific items or financial help. 
4. Needy person can send direct requests to donors. 
5. Needy person can track request status (pending, accepted, rejected). 
6. Needy person can receive notifications when a donor responds. 
7. Needy person can provide feedback after receiving help.

 

Donation Management Module:
1. System stores all donation records. 
2. Categorization of donations based on: Type, Location, Urgency. 
3. Matching system between: Donor offer and Needy requests.
4. Status tracking: Available, Requested, Approved, Delivered.
5. History of completed donations.
